How to extend life of the Kirby belt follow these guidelines:
Keep motor shaft clean of hair and threads
Never vacuum greasy and oily carpets or anything that may lubricate the belt
When storing Kirby shampooer nozzle – twist the handle just a bit to leave the belt a bit loose so it would not stretch over time
(It will be too soft to do the best job on most of the carpets. Use it only on very delicate rugs)
